Privacy Policy

This is a working version of our Privacy Policy. The owner reviews and updates it before public launch, so some details may change. If you have questions in the meantime, email hello@n4xion.net.

This policy explains how N4XION Limited handles your personal information when you use N4XION AI. N4XION AI gives you one assistant called OPAW v1. When you send a request, OPAW routes it to a suitable free AI provider and returns a single answer. We handle your information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.

Access to N4XION AI is free and invite only. It is available to the owner and invited friends. There are no paid plans, no subscriptions, and no ads. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we are

N4XION Limited operates N4XION AI. You can reach us about privacy at hello@n4xion.net. Our registered company details and postal address are not published here yet. The owner will confirm them before public launch.

Personal information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information.

  • Your email address, used for your invite and sign in.
  • Your display name.
  • Login code emails we send you and the fact that you requested and used them.
  • Session data and device information, such as browser type, approximate location from your network, and the times you sign in.
  • The prompts you send to OPAW and the responses you receive.
  • Files you upload while using the assistant.
  • Media the assistant generates for you, such as audio or images.
  • Usage and quota logs that record how much of the service you use.
  • Security events, such as failed sign in attempts and abuse checks.
  • Support messages you send us.
  • Cookies and basic analytics needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service working.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to do the following.

  • Create your account and confirm your invite.
  • Sign you in and keep your session secure.
  • Send your requests to a suitable AI provider and return answers.
  • Store your conversations and files so you can use the service.
  • Apply fair use quotas so the free service stays available.
  • Detect, investigate, and stop abuse and security threats.
  • Respond to your support messages.
  • Fix problems and improve how the service works.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

Cross border disclosure to service providers

N4XION AI depends on external providers to work. When you use the assistant, your prompts, and sometimes your uploaded files, are sent to the AI provider that OPAW selects for your request. These providers, and the infrastructure services we rely on, may store and process your information outside New Zealand. We share the minimum needed for each request.

The AI providers we may route your requests to are:

  • Google Gemini
  • Groq
  • Mistral
  • OpenRouter
  • NVIDIA
  • Cerebras
  • SambaNova
  • GitHub Models
  • Cloudflare Workers AI
  • Hugging Face
  • Tavily
  • ElevenLabs

We host the service and store data using Cloudflare infrastructure, including Pages, Workers, D1, Durable Objects, and R2. We use Resend to send email, such as your login codes, and Cloudflare Turnstile to check that sign in requests come from a person rather than a bot.

Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy practices. When your information goes to a provider in another country, we take reasonable steps so it stays protected in a way comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account information for as long as your account stays active. We keep your conversations, files, and generated media so you can return to them, until you delete them or close your account. We keep security and usage logs for a limited period so we can protect the service. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. The owner will confirm exact retention periods before public launch.

Access and correction

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email hello@n4xion.net and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Data export

You can ask us for an export of your account data, including your conversations and files, in a common format. Tell us what you need and we will help you get a copy.

Account deletion

You can ask us to delete your account. When you do, we remove your conversations, files, and generated media, and we close your access. We may keep a small amount of information where the law requires it or where we need it to handle a security or legal matter. After that period, we delete it too.

Administrator access

By default, administrators do not read the private content of your conversations. Administrators may access account records, usage logs, and security events to run the service and to investigate abuse or a reported problem. Where an investigation requires looking at specific content, we limit access to what is needed and we keep a record of it.

Privacy breaches

If a privacy breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. We will tell you what happened, what information was involved, and what steps you can take.

Children

The default minimum age for an account is 18. If we learn that someone below the minimum age has an account without proper consent, we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service grows. When we make an important change, we will update this page and, where appropriate, let you know.
